Extensions

Delivering small, medium and large scale projects.

Our approach

Whether you’re simply looking for an additional bedroom or you want to double the size of your ground floor, we undertake projects of all sizes.

In and around the New Forest, the emphasis tends to be on extending and enhancing existing properties, often in Conservation Areas, rather than carrying out new builds. We have a track record of delivering the best solutions in difficult situations and we always relish the more challenging projects where we can use our expertise to the maximum.

The challenge may be how to fit your requirements into the space available, or it may be making the project acceptable to the Local Planning Authority. These days, the latest challenge is to get the most out of the latest renewable technologies, and we have plenty of experience of building renewable technologies into our projects whilst still maintaining a sympathetic traditional appearance.

As well as working within the confines of a planning permission our experienced team is also well suited to working within the parameters of the permitted developments rules to get you the best result for your home.

Whatever the needs of your project, we have the skills and experience
to make the most of it.

Case Study : Old Vic

This was one of our most challenging but satisfying projects to deliver, bringing a bold design by BBD Architects to life.

Starting deep in the ground with the half in half out basement on a sloping site; using a combination of reinforced concrete and steel frame, to create a sunken family room that opens up straight into the garden.

Above this, a two-storey extension was erected to provide a large kitchen family room linking to a balcony then a master suite with dressing room and En-Suite to the first floor.

To contrast to the traditional style of the original house the extension was finished in a stunning combination of silicone-based render and vertical cedar cladding giving this project an utterly striking look.

Case Study : Awbridge

This stunning oak framed extension was a joy to put our name too, creating a beautiful kitchen family room in this forest cottage.

The extension was designed by BBD Architects to sit to the side of the dwelling, overlooking the spectacular garden and surrounding forest.

This project also included some internal alterations to create a large utility and plant room to allow for the installation and commissioning of an air source heat pump to provide the heating and hot water for this stunning family home.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE local authorities WE WORK WITH.

Just don’t take our word for it…
